Acting head coach for Accra Hearts of Oak, Edward Nii Odoom was left content with the performance of his players in their 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Sunday afternoon in the Ghana Premier League despite indicating that he wanted the win.

Touted as the two most glamorous sides in the Ghanaian top-flight, the two clubs locked horns in a Match Week 6 fixture of the ongoing season at the Accra Sports Stadium.

At the end of a pulsating encounter, Kotoko emerged as 2-1 winners courtesy goals from Justice Blay and Naby Keita. Though Joseph Esso netted a consolation for the Phobians, it was not enough to save them from defeat.

At a post-match press conference, Coach Edward Nii Odoom took delight from the fact that his Rainbow lads played very well. According to him, it is ‘perfect’ his team has improved their game in the last five matches.

“I think nothing went wrong for us. My boys played very well. Everybody will see that we were dictating the pace but I think lack of communication beats down for us. It was a very good game for us”, the Hearts of Oak tactician said.

Coach Edward Nii Odoom added, “If am to look at where we are coming from and what the team is doing now I think it is perfect”.
