The Executive Chairman for Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has confirmed that the winning bonus of players has been increased to GH¢500.
The business mogul announced the increment for the winning bonus for both home matches and away matches on Sunday following the club’s 2-1 win against Hearts of Oak on Match Week 6 of the Ghanaian top-flight.
“You winning bonus, the home used to be GH¢300 and the away used to be GH¢400. From now on I have increased all of them to GH¢500”, Dr. Kwame Kyei told the players.
He added, “I won’t talk plenty but I will like to thank you all. Put in more effort and just like coach [Maxwell Konadu] said, today’s match will take a lot of you places. Continue like you did today and we will also support with our prayers”
In addition to the good news for the Porcupine Warriors, the club’s Executive Chairman also noted that he will be giving every player GH¢2000 as a reward for the Hearts of Oak win.
