LISTEN JAN 20, 2020

Head coach for Legon Cities FC, Goran Barjaktarevic has indicated that his team has not managed to record a win in the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season because of the tough opposition they have faced so far.

The rebranded Wa All Stars club has played five matches but remains without a win despite putting up an impressive fight in that run. The team has lost two matches and has also drawn three.

In that run, Legon Cities FC has suffered defeats against Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium which has been adopted as their home grounds, and against Aduana Stars on the road.

Their drawn games have also come against Dansoman Liberty Professionals, Obuasi Ashanti Gold, and Dreams Football Club (FC).

Speaking in a post-match interview after Legon Cities FC lost to Aduana on Sunday afternoon, Coach Goran Barjaktarevic explained that his team is yet to bag its first 3 points because they have faced tough opponents in their first five matches.

“Like I said we had very very tough opponent until now and that’s why we make it this way”, the gaffer noted.

Ahead of Match Week 6 of the Ghana Premier League, Legon Cities FC will play against Bechem United at home and will be eyeing a win to change their fortunes.
