The Volta Regional Football Association(Rfa) On Tuesday 24th December 2019 conducted a seminar for all newly Third Division, Juvenile and Women Clubs to enable them familiarize with the new FIFA connect system and the Associations Operations.

The One day workshop was held on Tuesday, 24th December 2019 at the World Vision Hotel,Ho.

Secretary of the Regional Football Association, Promise Ahiagba Welcome the clubs and took them through the core duties of a Football Administrator, Structure of the RFA as well as introducing them to new policies and rules of the Ghana Football Association.

Mr Ahiagba Further advised participants to accord the seminar the highest possible regard because it offers them the opportunity to improve on their knowledge and update their skills at no cost.

“The benefits of the FIFA Connect include but not limited to the following: linkage to the FIFA Transfer Matching System, connection of all registered players to FIFA member Associations such that Clubs from other countries can conduct appropriate due diligence on Players they intend to engage and its user-friendly".

He said if clubs owners and administrators would adhere to the rules and policies of the FA, running the regional leagues would be easier, effective and beneficial to both the RFA and club owners.

"If all clubs manage to adhere to the rules governing the game and act professionally the game will be a lot more better and run smoothly".

Mr. Ahiagba also admonished the club owners to do away with old ideologies of managing their various clubs, urging them to embrace the new system and calendar of the upcoming football season.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Regional Football Association, Eric Eli Adzie took the club representatives through the right process of registering their clubs and players into the FIFA Connect System.

Some clubs had the opportunity of getting firsthand experience on how the FIFA Connect System works.

About 40 clubs participated in the seminar.
The Regional leagues is expected to start the ending of February 2020.
