Captain for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the club ahead of the start of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

This comes as a piece of good news for the club and their numerous supporters who are keen on seeing the highly-rated goalkeeper in post for the Porcupine Warriors when the new season starts.

Annan has just 3 weeks remaining on his current contract with the Reds and could have left the club on a free transfer at the end of December if an agreement was not reached.

In an interview with Fox FM today, Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) George Amoako has confirmed that indeed the Black Stars goalie has agreed to a 2-year contract extension.

He disclosed, “Talks are far advanced with Felix Annan to extend his contract, he wanted to sign for one year and we (Kotoko) proposed two years, he has agreed, what is left is monetary issues, offer, and acceptance, everything is in place and by the end of this week he will sign the contract”.

The manager and agent of Annan are expected to meet with the management of Asante Kotoko today to continue discussions.
