Richard Commey hopes of maintaining his IBF Lightweight title has been crashed by American boxing sensation, Teofimo Lopez, after emerging as the champion after Round 2 technical knockout.
The enterprising boxer was hit by a powerful right punch from Lopez in 1minute 14 seconds in the second round of the fight at the Madison Square Gardens early Sunday.
Commey, 32, went into the bout as the underdog despite being the defending champion.
