Experienced Ghanaian defender Wahab Adams has signed a new two-year contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League season.

The center-back completed a move to the Porcupine Warriors back in December 2017 from top-flight side Aduana Stars.

His initial contract with Kotoko was expected to expire on December 23 but due to his importance to the setup of the reds, they have decided to extend his contract.

Modernghana Sports understands that Wahab Adams has agreed to the contract and is looking forward to the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season where he will be expected to play a key role for Asante Kotoko.

In an interview on the Kotoko Express App after signing the necessary paperwork, the defender said “It has been a privilege to spend two years at this club and the opportunity to continue my career here is an honour for me.

“It has not been an easy road as the team has gone through some ups and downs within the period of my stay here, but my life and work here have been the best in my professional career”.

Adams added, “I am committed to continue repaying the Management, technical team, my colleague players and the supporters for the faith they have shown in me and the care that they continue to give me. I will work even harder from now since we have a target to achieve for ourselves and the club”.
