Asante Kotoko newly appointed coach Maxwell Konadu has explained why he finally decided to accept the Kotoko coaching job.
The 47-year-old signed a two year deal with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2019/20 campaign which kicks off on December 27.
The former Wa All Stars was officially unveiled as the head coach of the club on Wednesday at the training grounds at Adako Jachie.
"The difference is that that this time the team's efforts to get me was greater than all other years, that also played a major role," he told FOX FM.
"Dignitaries from all facets who have the club at heart kept calling me every now and then, including our own Dr Kwame Kyei (Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko).
"I think it's the right time for me to make that decision, because the efforts from the officials to get me was greater, and in football, too even for players they go where they are most wanted.
"Most of the times it's not about where you get the most money but if you go where you are wanted the most that is where you are mostly successful, so I think the timing is right and I don't think there will any problem," he added.
