President Cup: Hearts Of Oak To Renew Rivalry On December 15

Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will renew their rivalry on December 15, 2019, in a replay of this year’s edition of the prestigious President Cup.

The match was officially scheduled to be played on September 8 but heavy rainfall on that day halted the game after just 10 minutes of action at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Following checks by the match officials of the day, they advised that the conditions of the soaked pitch were not football-friendly and hence the match should be called off.

Months later, the organizers of the President Cup and the two clubs involved have settled on December 15 for the match to be replied.

This time around, Asante Kotoko will visit Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium for the game.

Reports indicated that His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be in the stands when the two most glamorous clubs take to the pitch to honour him.

Kick-off time for the highly-anticipated match has been scheduled at 15:00GMT.
