Obuasi Ashanti Gold has announced that they will be playing an international friendly match against Nigerian side Galaxy Sports Academy this weekend as they continue preparations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
The Ashanti Regional club is one of the top teams that will be expected to challenge for the coveted title in the 2019/2020 season.
In a bid to ensure they do not flatter to deceive, they have been intensifying training to get their players in the best shape before the League kick starts in late December.
To give manager Ricardo Da Rocha the opportunity to assess the form of his players, management of the club has lined up a pre-season with Nigerian club Galaxy Sports Academy.
The warm-up game will be played at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
Meanwhile, the Miners are expected to return to training this afternoon as they gear up for the start of the Ghana Premier League season which has been scheduled for the weekend of December 27-29, 2019.
