Reports gathered indicate that experienced Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Jordan Opoku is being considered for the clubs's U-20 coaching job as his current contract nears expiration.

The veteran has served the Kumasi-based side as a Porcupine Warriors very well and looks on course to being rewarded with a bigger role that will see him serving at the Youth level to polish young players for the club.

According to reports, Opoku’s contract with Kotoko will expire in December where it is likely we will decide to hang his boots.

Management of the club has, therefore, opted to test the waters and are considering elevating him to become one of their coaches.

The two parties are expected to hold a meeting today with a proposed offer set to be presented to the player.

If Jordan Opoku accepts the role, he will start work in January 2020 as Asante Kotoko’s U-20 coach.

The former Feyenoord Rotterdam will have the opportunity of understudying the likes of Coach Johnson Smith and Akakpo Patron while he completes his coaching badges.
