Ghana’s Minister for Youth, Sports, and Culture, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has sent his goodwill message to the Black Stars as they prepare to face the Bafana Bafana later today while charging the team to go for victory.
The West African country is set to open her campaign in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament against South Africa this evening. In a Group C encounter, Ghana needs to win to get off to a good start which will be key if they will progress out of the group at the end of the series.
In a communique from the Sports Ministry, the Hon. Asiamah has noted that the Black Stars must put up a sterling performance to overcome the intent of their opponents.
He further calls on the Stars to work hard to put smiles back on the faces of Ghanaians while citing that it will go a long way to assist the efforts of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in its efforts to #BringBackTheLove for football.
Hon. Asiamah also urged the technical team and the management teams to sustain the high morale in camp and ensure that the team is well conditioned and prepared for their matches.
The crucial game between Ghana and South Africa will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium with kick off scheduled for 19:00GMT.
