Head coach for South Africa, Molefi Ntseki says he is hoping forwards Percy Tau and Lebo Mothiba will be on top form when his side takes on Ghana later this week in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The Bafana Bafana have been billed to play as guests to the Black Stars on Thursday in the opening Group C match of the AFCON qualifiers as both teams look for their first 3 points.
Percy Tau and Lebo Mothiba are part of the foreign-based players invited by coach Molefi Ntseki. The pair who play for Club Brugge and RC Strasbourg respectively are the star players of South Africa and will need to shine if their team will have any chance of earning a point at the end of the encounter.
Speaking on the two players ahead of the match, coach Ntseki has shared, “We’re hoping that both players will be ready to compete and, hopefully, take their game to the next level.
“I think with Tau not being played in his club’s last match, it’s something that I was worried about. But I know when it comes to the national team, Tau will work hard to make things happen for us”.
The big game between Ghana and South Africa will kick off at 19:00GMT on Thursday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
