Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has wished the Black Meteors well ahead of their Caf U23 Cup of Nations second group game against Egypt.
The U-23 team will face hosts Egypt in their second Group A fixture at the Cairo International Stadium on Monday night.
Coach Kwesi Appiah, who is also preparing for the AFCON 2021 qualifiers, wished the Black Meteors ‘good luck’ as they battle for one of the tickets for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The 2014 Ghana World Cup gaffer wrote on Twitter, ”Good luck to the Black Meteors ahead of their clash against Egypt on Monday,”
The Black Meteors will be hoping to get positive results in other to enhances their chances of progress as well as qualify for the Olympic Games next year.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s side drew 1-1 in their opening game against Cameroon last Friday.
The top three teams from the CAF U-23 cup of Nations will represent Africa in football at the global sporting event.
The match is expected to kick off at 8:00pm (6:00pm GMT).
