Unconfirmed reports coming in from Kumasi indicates that the management of Asante Kotoko will meet head coach Kjetil Zachariassen tomorrow to determine his future at the club.
Modernghana Sports can confirm that the fate of the gaffer is hanging in the balance with the top hierarchy of the Porcupine Warriors convinced that he must be axed for failing to advance the team to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Though the Reds had high hopes of maintaining their continental aspirations alive, a 2-1 aggregate defeat at the hands of Ivorian side FC San Pedro last weekend means that they have been booted out of the competition.
The aftermath of that second leg fixture was nasty with several fans of Kotoko attacking the team’s bus and demanding the sacking of Coach Kjetil Zachariassen who they described as not fit for the job.
He was subsequently left behind in Abidjan over security issues with some management members stating that they could not guarantee his safety if he returned to Ghana.
Still under contract with Kotoko, information coming in suggest that the Norwegian tactician will arrive in the country tomorrow to discuss his future with the Kumasi-based club.
