Ghana Premier giants Accra Hearts of Oak has sent their goodwill message to players Richmond Ayi and William Denkyi who are with the Black Meteors team in Egypt for the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The pair are part of a final 21-man squad expected to do battle for the Meteors against six other top countries that have qualified for this year’s tournament.

With the tournament set to start later this week, Hearts of Oak has through a post on their official Twitter handle extended a goodwill message to the two players who are currently in Egypt.

“Richmond Ayi and William Dankyi are in Egypt with the Black Meteors team for this year’s U23 AFCON. Everyone at Hearts Of Oak wishes them well as the tournament kicks off on the 8th of November”, the post read.

Ghana has been drawn in Group A of this year’s tournament and will come up against Egypt, Cameroon, and Mali in a bid to progress to the knockout stage.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his men are seeking to advance all the way into the final to ensure they secure qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
