The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has congratulated Keta Sunset for emerging as champions of the Copa Lagos Club Challenge held in Nigeria in the past week.
The defending champions of the Ghana Beach Soccer League represented the country in the 2019 edition of the tournament and managed to lift the trophy after winning all their matches.
In the finals, they defeated Nigerian side Gidi Sharks 5-3 to ensure they return to Ghana with the enviable trophy.
In a post on the GFA’s official Twitter handle, the body on behalf of its president Kurt Okraku has extended their congratulations to Keta Sunset for hoisting the flag of the country high on the continent and beyond.
The Ghana Football Association and the Ghana Beach Soccer Association recently became a family after the former accepted to include the latter under its umbrella in the newly adopted statuses which was proposed by the Normalization Committee.
