Pacey Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi has shared that the team is confident of getting the needed results in Cote d’Ivoire against FC San Pedro this weekend to ensure they secure qualification to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the Ghana Premier League giants are seeking progression in the continent’s second-tier inter-club competition after being knocked out of the Champions League.

To keep their aspiration for continental success however, they need to overcome their Ivorian counterpart over the course of two legs.

Fortunately for Kotoko, the first leg of the tie ended 1-0 in their favour as they prepare for the crucial return leg which will be played away from home.

Sharing his thought on the first leg and looking forward to the second, Emmanuel Gyamfi insists the entire playing body is confident of getting on the scoresheet against FC San Pedro this weekend to ensure they book their ticket to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

“It wasn’t an easy game. However, every win is important. It’s a plus that we didn’t concede. We are confident about our progress despite the 1-0 win we have had in Kumasi. We will definitely have a goal away and qualify to the next stage”, Gyamfi said in an interview on the Kotoko Express App.

The crucial match will be played on Sunday, November 3, 2019, in Abidjan with kick-off time set at 16:00GMT.
