Accra, March 10, GNA - The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) announced on Friday that prices of petroleum products would remain unchanged throughout March 2006.
A statement issued by the NPA and jointly signed by Professor Ivan Addae-Mensah, Chairman and Mr J. D. Attafuah, Chief Executive, said the decision was the outcome of a February 2006 price review of petroleum products to reflect import parity prices.
It said the Authority arrived at the decision by reviewing operations at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), as well as developments in the world market of prices of crude oil and finished products. The statement said although there were some variations during the period under review, the net effects of the variations had been marginal and did not warrant any price change.
