Ghana Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially unveiled Johnson Smith as their new assistant coach to deputize Norwegian tactician Kjetil Zachariassen.
The Porcupine Warriors are making yet another change in their technical bench in less than six months following the parting ways with former head coach CK Akonnor after he had qualified the team for this year’s CAF Champions League.
After replacing him with Kjetil Zachariassen, the management of the team has also decided to make changes to the assistant coach position. They have brought in former Karela United trainer Johnson Smith on a two-year deal.
The coach enjoyed a successful spell with the Anyinase-based club during his stay and will now be contributing to the success of the Kumasi-based side in the next couple of years.
In a video released on Kotoko’s official YouTube channel, they have unveiled the new coach who will be replacing Akakpo Patron who used to play the role of the assistant coach.
