Ghana Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been handed a tough opposition in Ivorian side San Pedro at the end of the draw for the final playoff round to the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors are bent on achieving success on the continental stage and have been battling with some of the best clubs in the two inter-club competition in the last couple of seasons.
This season, they had the chance of playing in the CAF Champions League but unfortunately failed the test of Etoile du Sahel when they engaged them in a two-legged encounter at the final qualifying round to the group stage.
That unfortunate elimination has seen them dropping into the Confederations Cup though they will need to cross one hurdle to have the chance of playing in the group phase of the competition.
At a draw in Cairo, Egypt earlier today, Asante Kotoko has been paired against Ivorian club San Pedro.
They will host the side at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on October 27, 2019, before traveling to Ivory Coast on November 3, 2019.
The Kumasi-based side will need to triumph over the two legs to keep their quest of enjoying continental success alive.
