Black Queens head coach Mercy Tagoe has insisted the aim of her side is to beat Kenya and qualify to the final round of the qualifier.

The Queens were held to a goalless draw with Kenya at home in Accra weekend and will be hoping to secure favourable results in the return leg on Tuesday when they face the Kenyans at the Kasarani Stadiums.

Speaking to the media before the game, Mercy Tagoe mentioned their target is to qualify to the next phase of the qualifiers.

“Training went on well, the Kenyans had a mentality that propelled them to secure a drawn game in Accra in like manner we can equally do even better by winning.

“We want to win and I have psych the ladies too, luck didn’t smile at us in the first leg, but we are hoping to have things done right.

She continued, “Portia Boakye is in top form, she’s not stressed like the first leg, she relates very well with the ladies and as the captain, it has boosted the morale in camp.

“Our motive is to qualify for the first time in the history of Ghana to the Olympic games.

“I wouldn’t like to promise because the future is unknown, but we are taking it to match after match,” She added.
