The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has confirmed that his outfit are in support of George Afriyie's quest to become the next Ghana Football Association president.
The Okyeman Planners is among the six candidates vying for the country's football governing body.
On Saturday, the former Ghana FA vice president launched his manifesto in Sunyani which was well attended by former Black Stars players, football administrators and journalists.
“We (Kotoko) are backing George Afriyie to become the president of the Ghana Football Association,” Amoako told the Press after Agriyie’s manifesto launch in Sunyani.
“He is one of the best we have in Ghana now and we have given him all the support to lead our football and bring it to the highest level,” he added.
The Ghana Football Association elections is scheduled for October 25, 2019.
