UCL: We Respect Juventus But ... - Thomas Partey

Atletico Madrid ace, Thomas Partey says his side respect Juventus but will do everything to get a win against the Italian side.

Diego Simone's side will host the Italian champions at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Group D of the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Partey, who returned from injury after missing Saturday's defeat to Real Sociedad is confident of victory ahead of the encounter.

“We have a difficult game too. At home, we are stronger and I hope everything goes well to win. It is a great team. We respect them, they have important players, but until the match starts it is unknown.

"We have to prepare ourselves strong, physically and mentally, to win," he told Mundo Deportivo.

He continued, “We want to try to win every game. We want to win this match, it is important, but also the others. No matter what Juventus is.

"For us all matches are equal. It's a new year, we have new players. The staff is motivated and I hope that we all go well and be prepared.

"Everyone knows that the goal is to win important things, but we think about the next game.

"Now we have Champions, we must give everything. We cannot think of the final with everything there is before, ”he said.

The Ghana midfielder will be hoping to make it to Simone's starting line up against the Old Ladies.
