Former chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has cautioned the contenders who have expressed their interest in replacing Kwesi Nyantakyi to be reliable adding that thieves are not needed moving forward.
Following the adoption of the new statutes and elections regulations, the Normalization Committee is expected to provide a roadmap ahead of the elective congress.
George Afriyie, Kudjoe Fianoo, Osei Kweku Palmer, Kurt Okraku and Fred Pappoe have all expressed their interest in vying for the country's football governing body high seat.
"Football people shouldn't be in a rush," he told Asempa FM. "We have to make sure those who will contest for the GFA Presidency are very reliable and not a bunch of thieves.
"Whoever becomes the GFA President shouldn't just be interested in making money, we need to raise the bar."
The Hearts of Oak board member also vouched for Fred Pappoe to lead to country's football governing body.
"I don't know any of the aspirants but I have heard and read about them.
"The only person I can vouch for is Fred Pappoe because he is the only one I have worked closely with.
"We have gone through a lot and if we want to move Ghana football forward, then integrity is what we should all go for," he added.
