The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia has intensified training ahead of their crucial round of 16 clash with the Black Stars of Ghana on Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Ismailia Stadium.
The two giants of African football will meet in a cagey encounter at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which will see one side exiting at the end of the day.
Though Ghana looks to have a slight upper hand going into the match, Tunisia is expected to give them a good run for their money. The Black Stars finished Group F as winners and have momentum on their side after winning their final match against Guinea Bissau.
Tunisia, on the other hand, goes into the match with 3 consecutive draws from the group stage which saw them finishing as runners-up.
After arriving in Ismailia on Wednesday evening, the team has been engaged in a number of training sessions to adequately prepare themselves for the assignment ahead.
Meanwhile, their danger man and captain, Wahbi Khazri is a doubt for the tough match after picking up hamstring contracture injury.
Kickoff time for the match will be at 19:00GMT.
