Deportivo Alaves defensive midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been adjudged as the man of the match in Ghana’s 2-0 win over the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau following his impressive showing.
The player who was making his third appearance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament showed signs of a warrior in midfield to help his side win their final group F battle against the Djurtus.
Having been paired with Atletico Madrid Star Thomas Teye Partey, the duo bosses the center of the park for most parts of the match to link their defense with their attack.
At the end of the 90 minutes, Wakaso helped Ghana to amass all three points which has seen them topping group F ahead of defending champions Cameroon. Wakaso deservedly ends a good day at the office with the man of the match award.
