Former Black Stars' stalwart defender Anthony Baffoe has assured The Black Stars all the maximum support when they come to Germany for The 2006 World Cup.

Speaking to Micky Charles at The Helnan Hotel in Port Said, where the stars are currently in camp, Tony said he had a marathon meeting with Deputy sports minister Mr O.B Amoah and The GFA chairman Mr Kwasi Nyantakyi about plans to make the stars feel at home in Germany.

Tony who financed his trip to Egypt from Germany has been in the stars camp to boost the morale of the players.

According to Tony, he is doing all this for the Love he had for Ghana. Commenting on the perfomance of The Black Stars in the cup of nations,he said Ghana has always been slow starters in competitions.

"In the match against Nigeria, the boys played very well but lost concentration in the dying minutes of the match" he said.

Quizzed about the Ghanaian strikers, Tony thinks we might still have some changes in the team before the world cup. He also asked Isaac Boakye and Otto Addo to work harder to be recalled into the team. Tony also prayed for the quick recovery of Michael Essien, Sule Muntari and Asamoah Gyan. He has since left for Germany and hopeful to be back if Ghana qualifies to the quarter finals.
