Cape Coast, Jan 21, GNA - First Division side, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs is to be registered as company limited by guarantee by next month.

The new arrangement would mean that the ownership f the Club would be opened to supporters of the Club.

The Club is currently registered as a company limited by shares with Nana Sam Brew Butler as the sole shareholder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Managing Director of the Club.

The Change in status is aimed at streamlining the operations of the Club to ensure transparency and accountability, which some supporters of the Club claimed are currently missing in the operations of the Club as a company.

The Life Patron of the Club, Osaebarima Kwesi Atta the second, Omanhene of the Ogua Traditional Area at a special meeting on Friday appointed a three-member Committee to implement the change with a month. The Committee is made up of Mr Daniel Fynn Essiam, a Cape Coast based Lawyer, Nana Brew Butler and Mr Fiifi Tachie- Manson. The Committee has been among others tasked to look into the transfer of players and to submit audited accounts of the IMC and the Board of Directors of the Club and to submit a report within a month. The meeting was summoned by Osaebarima Atta to iron out differences between Nana Butler and some aggrieved supporters of the Club and the IMC on the other hand.

It came to light at the meeting that Nana Butler since 1992 has been running the Club as his bona fide company with the acquiescence of two directors whom he appointed to assist him in the administration of the Club.

The aggrieved supporters had claimed that the state of affairs made transparency and accountability almost impossible in the operations of Dwarfs as a company.

Lawyer Essiam before the directive was issued by the Life Patron, drew the attention of the meeting to the fact that by virtue of Nana Butler being the sole shareholder of Dwarfs, he was technically the owner of the company known as Dwarfs.

The Committee member therefore suggested that the change in registration of the Club from a liability company with shares to one limited by guarantee and the Life Patron acceded to the suggestion. After the differences were resolved, Nana Brew Butler who will still remain as the Managing Director of the Club until the proposed change is effected, said he was tired of running Dwarfs and that he was not interested of holding any position in the Club.

Nana Brew Butler, however assured the supporters of the team that he will continue to make significant contributions towards the promotion of Dwarfs to gain entry into the elite Premier division.
