MAY 17, 2019 LISTEN

The Black Stars of Ghana will play two high-profile preparatory games against Namibia and South Africa ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals, according to Footy-Ghana.com.

The Normalization Committee of the Ghana FA have reached the agreements for both games to be played during the team’s training camp in the United Arab Emirates.

Reports suggest that the game will be played on June 6 and 9.

There are also considerations for one more game against a local side during the Dubai training camp.

Head coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to announce his provisional squad on Monday, May 20.

The Black Stars will be heading for the UAE on June 1 where they will hold comprehensive three-week camping before making a short trip into Egypt for the Afcon.

Ghana, who will be seeking to end a 37-year wait for a Nations Cup trophy, are in Group F where they are billed to face defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau.
