A goal scored in each half ensured Fankobaa carried the day. Results of other matches were Young Etsi Stars drew 1-1 with Twifo United, Denkyira United spanked Twifo Nuamakrom Real Madrid 3-0, Real Essiam United beat Mensakrom Alpha Stars 2-1, Gomoaman Darhling beat Winneba Kampsite 1-0, Kasoa Proud United beat Tuba Metro Stars 1-0 with Efutu Youngsters losing 1-2 to Awutu Bastia F/C. In another development, Cape Coast Friends Babies beat Odupong Stars 2-0 in a special friendly soccer match at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium.
Odupong Stars dominated play and matched their opponents boot to boot until the end of the first half with no score for either side. On resumption of the second half, Friends Babies came back strongly to score the opener through a free kick taken by midfielder, Jackson Ward in the 53rd minute.
Determined to avoid defeat, Odupong Stars from then mounted a sustained attack in a frantic effort to find the equalizer but that failed to come their way and against the run of play, Samuel Quagraine of Friends Babies increased his side's tally to two in the 75th minute.
