TRAGIC!: Ghanaian Liverpool Fan Pronounced Death Out Of Shock After Win Over Barcelona

A final year Senior High student and a staunch supporter of Liverpool has been confirmed dead following the Reds’ victory over Barcelona in the Uefa Champions League semifinals on Tuesday evening.

According to reports, Hebert Danso Atiko collapsed after the 2005 Champions League winner scored the fourth goal in a stunning comeback to eliminate the Spanish giants from the prestigious European tournament.

Eyewitnesses said water was poured on him hoping to revive him but did not gain consciousness.

The final year Engineering student at the Akwatia Technical School was pronounced dead at the St. Dominic’s Hospital in Akwatia.

The Principal of Akwatia Technical School, Maxwell Owusu-Afriyie, said his parents have been informed about the development.

The police have commenced an investigation into the case.

“We will get the details and see if there was something the student did that suggest that his behaviour was in excess. On that, we can really talk to the students.

"We have a system in place where we talk to the students and their behaviour these days,” the headmaster said.
