Head coach for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kim Grant after leading his side to beat West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) 4-0 has shared that he is proud and delighted with the performance of his lads.

The Phobians revenged a 3-2 loss the suffered at the hands of the academy boys last month in Sogakope with a demolishing exercise that left them blown away. A dominated performance from the Rainbow boys ensured the huge scoreline on Sunday, May 5, 2019, as the two sides faced off in the Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition.

Speaking to the media after the entertaining match, Kim Grant disclosed that they aim prior to the match was to win and go top of the division which the players managed to execute perfectly. He insists that even though they could have scored more goals on the day, he is happy with the performance of the players on the day.

“At the end of the day, it is about 3 points. We wanted to win the game. We wanted to be top of the league and we want to try and win this competition as best as we can”.

“We had chances to score more than 4 but we didn’t. We scored 4 so am delighted and am really happy for the players”, the gaffer said

The Accra based club is now sitting comfortably on top of the Premier B standings having amassed an impressive 18 points from 9 matches.
