The Ghanaian forward assisted Belgian international Michy Batshuayi to restore the lead for the Eagles lads after Winfred Zaha's opener has been levelled via an own goal from Martin Kelly.
English international, Andros Townsend extended the lead for the Eagles before Bobby Reid also registered his name on the score sheet for Cardiff City in the dying embers of the match.
The Ghana international was replaced by Max Meyer on the 79th minute of the match.
Ayew scored only one goal with two assists in his 20 appearances for Crystal Palace in his debut season.
The win over Neil Warnock side has officially relegated them to the English Championship.
