Accra Hearts of Oak and their fans have been left in shock and disappointment as the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Associations orders winger Dominic Eshun to return to his former club Karela United.

The Phobians under the leadership of former Chief Executive Officer Mark Noonan announced the signing of Dominic Eshun from Karela United FC in December 2018 after capturing the signature of the diminutive winger who made seven appearances for the Anyinase based club in the first round of the 2018 Ghana Premier League season.

Subsequently, after the announcement, management of Karela United took the case to the Player Status Committee arguing that the player was still under contract with them until November 2019 and could not sign for a different.

Reports coming in indicate that Karela United have won the case against Hearts for signing their player without their consent.

The Player Status Committee earlier today, April 2, 2019, ordered Dominic Eshun to return to Karela where he is still under contract.

It is, however, unclear if the Accra based side will appeal the decision or not.
