Accra, Jan. 3, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor is expected to outdoor the FIFA World Cup trophy at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, as the diadem treks 29 countries and 31 cities ahead of the summer tournament.

Ghana, which would be the first among the 29 selected countries to have a glimpse of the glittering trophy during the tour, is also one of three chosen African countries to have that awe experience. The other two are Nigeria and South Africa, host of the 2010 soccer showpiece. Organisers of the tour told the GNA Sports that the general public would be given the opportunity to have a quick look at the trophy to be placed in a special cage on Saturday to ensure its safety.

Coca Cola Company Limited, sponsors of the tour would premier a special documentary on the Black Stars dubbed "from dream to reality" on Friday and later screen it to the general public.

A Ghanaian, whose name is yet to be known, would be honoured on Friday for his outstanding achievement in helping break the barrier through sports.

The trophy leaves the country for its next destination on Sunday, January 8.
