Tema, Jan. 2, GNA - Tema Country Golf Club would begin this year's activities with the Lady Captain's Prize competition on Saturday, January 14.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said the competition is open to golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs. Mrs Elizabeth Koomson, the out-going Lady Captain of the Club is to sponsor the competition.
Mr Adablanu said the competition, which would involve the youth as well as professionals, would be played under the rules of the World's Golf Governing body and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club.
He said the competition would be in two segments with the competitors put into two groups featuring Handicap 1-18 in Group A while Handicap 18-24 would be in Group B for both the Men and Ladies categories.
24 prizes would be awarded to the winners of the competition while entries would close on January 8, the Chief Executive Officer added.
