Accra, Dec. 18, GNA - Pergah Transport Limited on Saturday, held a sponsored walk in Accra as part of activities marking the sixth anniversary celebration of the company. The walk, which started from the company's premises at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra went through the Danquah Circle and ended at the Afrikiko Restaurant. Over 200 workers of the company took part in the walk carrying placards some of which read "Over-speeding Kills", "Avoid talking on mobile phones whilst driving" and "If you drink don't drive". The management of the company later donated a cheque of 10 million cedis to the National Road Safety Commission. Mrs Charlotte Obeng, Board Chairman of the company presented the cheque on behalf of the company to Mr Noble Appiah, Chairman of the National Road Safety Commission.
Mr Appiah advised drivers to help make the Christmas season an accident-free one.
