Gyau re-elected captain of Tema Golf Club

Tema, Dec. 18, GNA- Mr Isaac Kofi Gyau has been re-elected Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club to steer the affairs of the club for another two-year term.

At the elections of the Club at Tema on Saturday to elect new executive members to replace the old body whose term of office expires at the end of December this year, Mr Gyau together with Mr William Yeboah, the Vice Captain were both re-elected unopposed. Other members re-elected unopposed are Mrs Esi Cobbina, Treasurer, Mr Joshua Peprah, Competition Secretary and Mrs Elizabeth Essel-Koomson, House Member.

In the Ladies category all the members were elected unopposed with Mrs Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong maintaining her position as the captain with the post of Vice Captain going to Mrs Florence Etwi-Barimah, Mrs Esther Bhavnani elected as the Secretary and the postion of Handicap Member going to Mrs Fumke Majekodunmi.

Edward Obeng Donkor returned 64 net to win a special golf competition played on the same day to herald the elections.

Jorge Bergsterman came second with 66 net while Paul Owusu-Baah took the third position with 70 net.

Adelaide Owusu Adjapong won the Ladies event with a net score of 66 when she beat Esther Antwi on count-back.

Mr Gyau thanked the members for the confidence reposed in him and the other executive members and asked them to support them to efficiently discharge their duties.
