Denkyira United F/C whip Twifo United

Dunkwa-On-Offin, (C/R) Dec. 16 GNA - Denkyira United whipped Twifo United 4-1 in their Central Region Division Two League match played at Dunkwa-On-Offin on Wednesday to occupy the top position of the Zone One League table with 22 points.

Denkyira United led 2-1 at half time.

On resumption of the second half, United continued to dictate the pace of the game to score two more goals through midfielder, Joseph Mensah to bring the final score to 4-1.

Results of other league matches were, Agona Fankobaa beat Gomoaman Darhling F/C 1-0, Apam Liberty Stars spanked Dominase Ewusi Stars 4-0, Essiam United beat Great Breman 2-1, Efutu Youngsters pipped Awutu Parmajet F/C, Buduburam F/C settled for a goalles draw game with Awutu Bastia F/C, Tuba Metro F/C drew 2-2 with Ojobi Kaakyire Stars and Kasoa Proud United beat Winneba C.K. Gyamfi Academy 2-1.

In another development, the first round of the Cape Coast District Colts league will end on Sunday, December 18 with matches at all the centres.

According to the fixtures released by the Cape Coast District Football Committee on Thursday, Royal Stars will meet Paa Badu at Adisadel Park. Citrus will vie with Sonturk Stars at the Cape Coast Technical Institute Park, Liverpool will sort things out with Astronomers at Abura Roman Catholic Park, Sultan will meet King Karmel at Nyinasin while Shantels meet Great Halifax at Efutu.

In the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) District league, Rainbow will meet Oguaa United at University of Cape Coast sports grounds while Dwarfs will vie with Young Eagles at St. Augustine's College Park. AOC 95 will meet Schalke O4 at SSNIT Park Elmina, Friends Babies will vie with Odomankoma at Mfantsipim Secondary School Park while Wise meet Liberty at Victoria Park.
