CAF CC: Asante Kotoko Keeper Debunks Rumours Of Pressure In Camp

Asante Kotoko keeper and vice captian, Felix Annan, has debunked rumours the team is under pressure in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup against Zesco United.

The Porcupine Warriors will come face to face with Zesco United on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The game will be Kotoko's first game at home in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup. Asante Kotoko after losing their first game away to Al Hilal, will seek to defeat Zesco United at their own backyard in order to keep their hope of progressing put of the group alive.

Felix Annan has put to bed rumours about the club being under pressure to perform against Zesco United in an interview with Graphic Sports. “Pressure is bound to happen in everything you do. We know the fans expectation of us is very high. It’s normal to feel pressure from the fans but we don’t have to play under pressure."

"We will deal with it as it is and turn it into a positive outcome. What we have to do as a team is to absorb the pressure and react in a positive manner. The pressure should rather be a motivation for us to deliver and we are very confident that we are going to win.”

Despite the rumours, management of Asante Kotoko has made various appeals to the fans to attend the game in their numbers. The game has even been changed from 1pm to 4pm to enable fans troop in in their numbers.
