According to Owusu Bempah Ayala, Nhyira FM sports presenter has revealed that Asante Kotoko players are unhappy with the management decision to award each player with $500 (GHC2,456).
The Porcupine Warriors qualified for the group phase of the CAF Confederations Cup after 11 years.
The management on Monday, January, 21st 2019 released a statement indicating that each player will be given the said amount.
However, according to the sports analyst, the players were promised GHC20,000.
"Asante Kotoko players unhappy about $500 (GHC2,456) money zone bonuses received," he said.
"According to my source the player's quiz why they were promised GHC20,000 each to make it to the same level and now it has been achieved this time they have been given way less than last season promise," he deduced.
Asante Kotoko has been pitched in Group C alongside Al Hilal of Sudan, Zesco United and Nkana from Zambia.
Kotoko will open their group C game against Al Hilal in Sudan on the February 3rd 2019.
