Ghana Oil Company (GOIL) has sent a goodwill message to Asante Kotoko ahead of their upcoming encounter against Cotonsport Garoua in the CAF Confederation Cup competition this weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated the home side 3:2 in the first league of the playoffs and a win for the Reds will see them through to the group stage of the competition.

A message by Mr Patrick Akorli, MD and CEO of GOIL encouraged the Porcupine Warriors to bring honour to the country.

He said: "You have the capacity to excel, so all hopes are on you not just to win, but win convincingly".

The statement notes that as Ghana’s number one OMC and a major sponsor of Kotoko, GOIL IS urging the team to eschew complacency, remain focused and go all out to beat Cotonsport Garoua and qualify for the next stage of the competition

GOIL is meanwhile urging fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and football-loving Ghanaians to troop to then Baba Yara Stadium in their numbers to offer Asante Kotoko the maximum support to clinch victory.

GOIL is a major sponsor of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
