Ghana skipper, Asamoah Gyan has expressed his excitement after grabbing the winning goal Kayserispor against Akhisar Belediyespor on Sunday.

The former Sunderland forward who was introduced into the game on the 70th minute needed just five minutes to find the back of the net in the 75th minute for Kayserispor in their 1-0 win against Elvis Manu's Akhisar Belediyespor.

He was introduced to replace Umut Bulut and with a quarter of an hour left he found the back of the net.

"Thank God for the important win today. The goal came at the right time. Great fans, thanks Soo much for still having confidence in me. God is always the answer." he posted on Twitter.

It was the 32-year-old's first league goal of the season in six appearances.

Gyan has struggled for game time this season partly due to injuries and also dropping down the pecking order.

His countryman Bernard Mensah played the entire duration of the match.

On the opposite side, Manu climbed off the bench in the 65th minute to replace Jeremy Bokila.
