Contractor Assures Ho Youth Resource Center Will Be Completed In February 2019

Contractor of the Ho Youth Resource Centre of Excellence project Togbe Gbewozah of Wilkado Construction has assured that the facility will be completed within the given timeline.

The agreement with the Ministry of Youth and Sports require them to complete work on the facility by February 2019.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday upon inspection by the Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah, Togbe Gbewozah stated that they have no problem finishing the facility by the end of the stipulated time.

“I think its 9 Months and so far we have spent about 6 Months so remaining 3 months. We foresee meeting the deadline. There is no problem. In terms of the mix fracture, we are 70% completed. The plastering and dressing that’s the main work and then the field” the contractor said.

The centre, when completed, would have a FIFA standard pitch, eight-lane tartan tracks, ICT centre, gymnasium, handball court, basketball court, tennis court, entrepreneurship centre, a capacity of 10,000 and a modern restaurant.

The resource centre is one of many centres the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Government is building across the various regions of the country in a bid to develop sports in the country. Just yesterday the Sports Minister was in the Eastern Region to inspect the progress of Work on one of the facilities being built.
