The Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association has reached an agreement with clubs in the country to resume football activities next month.

Football-related activities have been brought to a halt since the premiering of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas 'Number 12' in June after the erstwhile the Executive Committee of the Ghana FA was disbanded due to an expose into football corruption in Ghana.

Sources say the committee, after a meeting with the clubs, has agreed to have a stop-gap competition between the first week of January and end in June before rolling out a full calendar for the 2019/2020 league season due to the AFCON.

However, the competition which is yet to be named will have the Premier League Clubs as well as the Division One League Clubs as participants.

A final meeting is expected to be held on Thursday, 6th December 2018 to finalize related issues with the resumption of football in the country.

The Normalisation Committee will also meet the captains of the premier league teams on Monday as part of their effort to restore the game into normalcy.

The four-member committee has until March 31, 2019, to complete its mandate to return Ghana football to its normalcy.
