The Normalization Committee have congratulated Black Maidens skipper Mukarama Abdulai for her heroics at the just ended FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

The Northern Ladies forward won the top scorer of the tournament.

She also collected the Bronze Ball (third best player) behind Spain's Claudia Pina and Nicole Perez of Mexico.

Abdulai has become Ghana's all-time top scorer in FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup history overtaking Jane Ayieyam's six goals scored over tournaments.

Ghana lost to Mexico on penalties at the quarterfinals stage of the competition.

GFA Normalization Committee congratulates Ghana U17 captain, Mukarama Abdulai, for winning the Golden Boot after finishing top scorer at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup held in Uruguay.

Your penchant for goals saw you score seven goals in four matches. You gallantly led the Black Maidens to advertise the Ghanaian brand of football that captured the imagination of the world.

Winning the Golden Boot as well as the Adidas Bronze Ball (third best player) epitomizes your valiant display of soccer artistry. We encourage you to remain focused and dedicated to your career.

In a related development, the Normalization Committee commends the entire Black Maidens team for reaching the quarter-final stage of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Getting to the quarter-final stage of a prestigious competition like the world cup is no mean feat. You did the nation proud, and we say ayekoo!
