Normalization Committee Urged To Focus On It Mandate
Former Ebusua Dwarfs head coach, J.E Sarpong has called on the Ghana Football Normalization Committee (NC) to stick to their mandate given to them by FIFA.
Following the premiering of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas 'Number 12' video, the world football governing body formed a four-member committee to review the existing GFA Statutes and return football to its normalcy.
However, the vociferous football trainer believes the committee has expanded their job which has contributed to the slowness of their work.
“They are becoming very slow, they need to stick to the core mandate given to them by FIFA, but they are expanding it and this complicates their work,’’ he told Angel TV.
He, however, called on the Normalization Committee to update the general public on their activities, adding that disclosing their roadmap, would help issues except maybe, their roadmap is rough, hence the committee’s failure to do that.
The Committee is chaired by Dr. Kofi Amoah, and Former Airtel CEO Lucy Quist and Naa Odofoley Nortey and ex-Kotoko Board Member, Kofi Duah Adonteng completing the list of members.
The Committee replaced the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Committee and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the GFA.
The Normalization Committee work, according to FIFA should not exceed the end of March 2019.
