Football News 12 Expos: Deal With Kwesi Nyantakyi Or Risk Losing 2020 Elections - Osei Kofi Tells Nana Addo
NOV 28, 2018 LISTEN

A former Ghanaian international, Rev Osei Kofi has called on president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to deal with former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi mercilessly having been caught on camera using the name of Nana Addo to solicit deals in the investigative piece dubbed 'Number 12' by an ace journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The former CAF 1st vice president has been handed a lifetime ban and $500,000 fine by FIFA after 135 days of investigations after Tiger EyePI petitioned the world football governing body after the premiering of the 'Number 12' documentary that has uncovered the rot in Ghana football.

Mr Nyantakyi was found guilty of violating the FIFA code of ethics by their adjudicatory chamber of the independent ethics committee after he was caught on camera receiving a whopping amount of $65,000 from an undercover journalist who expressed interest in pumping into the Ghana Premier League.

However, the lawyer and the Wa All Stars bankroller is yet to face any criminal charges on his conduct in the expose’ but the former Asante Kotoko legend is admonishing the president of the land to take an action against Mr Nyanttakyi or face ousting in the 2020 polls.

“Nana Akufo Addo must know that Anas Aremeyaw Anas 'Number 12' exposé was divine intervention to get the president of the land to deal with Kwesi Nyantakyi’s ‘thievery’ and clean Ghana football," he told Kumasi based Sikka FM.

"If he fails to deal with Nyantakyi, Ghanaians will respond in 2020," he added.
