Ejura(Ash),Nov.7, GNA - Mr Yaw Owusu Bimpeh, Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised supporters of the party to put more premium on proper voting procedure in their field education programmes. He said educating supporters and sympathisers of the party on proper procedure for voting would forestall mistakes in the 2008 elections.

Mr Bimpeh gave the advice when swearing-in newly elected executives of the Ejura-Sekyedumase Constituency of the NDC at their delegates' congress held at Ejura at the weekend. He pointed out that the party lost many votes through mistakes committed by voters during the 2004 elections and cited an instance at the Subin constituency in Kumasi about 50 votes for the party were lost because they were rejected.

Mr Bimpeh therefore, asked the new executives to take up the challenge and visit all polling stations within the Constituency to educate the supporters and sympathisers of the party on the proper procedure for voting.

The six-member executive elected unopposed has Mr Kwabena Wisdom as Chairman, Mr Daniel Osei-Tutu, Vice-Chairman and Mr Yaw Wiredu, Secretary.

Mr Mohammed Saaka, Youth Organizer, Madam Hunu Yahaya, Women's Organizer and Miss Martha Bruckner, Treasurer. Mr Wisdom thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in them and assured them that they would not be deterred by intimidation from the Government but would work hard to retain the seat in the 2008 elections.
